Jim Lawson is Director of Project Delivery & Engineering, responsible for overseeing all elements of the Project Management Department, including the planning, permitting, and delivery of CalCom’s distributed energy project portfolio. Jim also serves as a technical resource between Sales/Development, Engineering, and Construction departments, utilizing his extensive electrical design and project management expertise to lead the Project Management team, and deliver critical assets on-time and on-budget. 

With more than 20 years of practical, hands-on experience in the energy and power production industry, Jim brings a detail-driven, pragmatic approach to project planning and execution. As an electrical engineer, and certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he has personally and successfully designed and completed large-scale, critical capital projects, with multi-million-dollar construction values throughout the Central Valley. 

Prior to joining CalCom Energy, Jim was a Senior Project Manager for one of the world’s largest glass manufacturers, serving 160 countries and five continents. Throughout his career, Jim has acted as an highly motivated and organized team leader, effectively working with numerous international stakeholders and supporting personnel, and efficiently managing all aspects of each project’s cost, scope, schedule, budget and installation.
