CALCOM SOLAR CONTINUES TO MAKE NEWS WITH LATEST AG INSTALLATION

May 10, 2016

VISALIA, California—Another high-profile solar energy project by CalCom Solar for a leading California agricultural producer—D’Arrigo Bros. Co., of CA—is generating news coverage within Ag and solar power media.

The succcessful deployment of a 2.2 megawatt DC solar energy system will deliver more than $20 million in utility savings over the next 25 year for the Salinas, California fruit and vegetable grower, packer, and shipper.

The system features NEXTracker Single-Axis Tracker technology that provides a number of valuable benefits to Ag operations—including maximum efficiency and lower installation costs—allowing D’Arrigo Bros. to significantly lower operational costs annually on utility bills and hedge against future utility rate increases.

“CalCom Solar had the technology and knowledge that helped solar energy work for us, both operationally and financially,” says John D’Arrigo, president, CEO and chairman. “We’ve always put our strong sustainability ethic into practice; harvesting the sun’s power to generate electricity is consistent with our goals.”
